Who we are…

We are Rea Family Animal Shelter, AKA Ogemaw County Humane Society.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our passion is animal welfare. We help the forgotten, neglected, and unwanted pets who find themselves in our care. Our staff is Fear Free certified so we can reduce the fear, anxiety, stress, and frustration animals commonly experience in a shelter environment. We pride ourselves on a clean facility, and the animals are shown love and compassion like they are our own. Rescue isn’t a job, it’s a way of life!
